Yup, but this is the Euro spec Corolla which gets such added features. The US won't see these.

I have a more EU way of looking at cars than a lot of US citizens do, but you're right. What you say is especially true (at least re what I have observed) in Texas and in parts of California well away from the coast....as well as more of what SOME coastal people (not me pre TX) condescendingly refer to as 'flyover country'.
