how to replace license plate light

How do I change bulb in a Hatchback. My tag light burned out

I used my Yaris manual :)... I had to get off my lisence plate + the licenseplate holder thingy. Then you just put a screwdriver on the left side of the light (its like a fully black socket where the light is hanging in). then i just popped it out.

Maybe someone else can explain it better in english :P but try to use ur yaris manual! :)

Here's a picture of one removed. You pry the circled indent with a screwdriver towards the middle of the light to release the tab from the bumper:

I asked a service writer at my local Toyota dealership, thinking he might know off the top of his head. He walked into the bays, asked a mechanic, and returned and showed me (and didn't charge me anything). Nice to know this goodwill exists in small measure. The manual would have been my next avenue. Stopping by my local dealer isn't inconvenient. It is 'next door' to Wal-Mart (another dealership between them) and across the freeway from Starbucks, Home Depot, Lowes, Panera Bread, Super Target, and Best Buy.
