Axleback connection rattles due to handbrake line
Ok, at the point where my Megan Racing axleback muffler connects to the stock mid-pipe, one of the flanges touches that side's hand brake line when at idle due to vibration and it rattles at times.
I felt the place where the flange has been touching the line and the rubbery area of the hand brake line is wearing away as you might expect. I am wondering what I could put on the line to wrap it with that would be a good buffer and keep it quiet; it will wear, but better to wear something I wrap the brake line with vs. the brake line itself right? Moving the hand brake line away from the flange a significant amount or bending it doesn't seem like a good option to ensure good hand brake function, etc.... Any thoughts are appreciated, Pat |

use some wrap-around heat-shrink tubing or sleeving.

You know, I may be able to use a combination of pushing the exhaust a bit and pulling the hand brake line away from one another enough to prevent rubbing during those idle times because anything I put on either that isn't metal will rub away eventually and the true fix is to prevent them touching. I will se what I can do.
