He read that there was supposed to be a $20 filter used, to prevent this clogging and then leaking, but someone apparently decided to save some money in the manufacturing and leave it out. I drive a 2008, but it looks a lot like what is in the video clip you sent.

You don't have to remove anything more than the left top edge of the passenger footwell carpet to access the hose to clear the condensate drain.
