I do just fine with my megan coilovers. The adjusting dampening they offer is great between autox and DD.

Talked to him today, got an answer I didn't want to hear. Basically was told to wait a bit while they work on their shock development. He also talked me out of turning them adjustable at least for now, as its a really complex project to make it work correctly. Shocks are going back to Bilstein one more time for a revalve going to suck on the street, but hopefully the car will be a bit more tolerant to forward weight transfer. Funny enough he's doing the same with with HR's on his TL that I'm doing with the Yaris.

I got a friend who used to live in Jacksonville, Florida and moved to california. He ran an autocross the other weekend. Joe Batwinis ran a miata in RTR. You may remember he lost his GoPro during one of his runs. He told me he talked to a guy that ran a yaris. Was that you xnamerxx?

He used to run his mini cooper.. He is a huge Rally fan too

I think so, I was talking to a guy who mentioned he had a friend who ran a yaris back in Florida, didn't catch his name though. If its the guy who I was talking too he was a cool dude.

Interesting Fact:

Was looking at purchasing 2 more Hankook RS3's for my autocross rims. DD longer than I wanted. Come to find out, they dont offer 15 inch tires for the RS3's anymore.. DAMMIT.. I guess I will try out the Rivals everyone at nationals are going with..

DO NOT buy the Rivals.

The RS3's are being updated with a new compound and will be released in a few months.

All I can say is I run the Rivals, and won't be buying them again unless some coil was offered.

I agree.. I just noticed those were 200 treadwear.. I am looking for more 140 treadwear. Probably going to get the Toyo R1R instead..

Who remembers the size that was golden? 195/50 or 195/55?

I can't remember is someone said that they got rid of the compound that made the 195 better than the 225... If thats the case, I may just go with 225

195/50 is the one to get. If the weather is cold they are the best tire you can buy. If the weather is hot, I'd probably run RS whatever or Dunlops.

the 140-200 tw thing isn't really an issue, the BFG is just about as fast as the Toyo it just requires a specific setup to get there.

Sooo. Are you saying the rivals are good or bad. National guys were running rivals... my setup is definitely different than yours, not that its bad. Just different.

I'm saying if your running a really heavy car, that has no camber gain, Rivals might be for you.

Rivals like to peel the shoulder really hard, so for my car with lots of camber and spring, I don't let the tires work, which is why they generally aren't audible when I drive. When I load the car up with 3 friends and drive it like I'm having fun, the tires scream like a killers on the loose.

The rival seems to be the tire for heavier cars. But I'm seeing the quicker small cars running toyo r1r and rs3. I love my toyos. Rs3s are good too but they have a much more narrow temperature range that they like it seems. May not be an issue for people in warmer climates though. The rs3 flat out suck at anything below 50 degrees. The toyos stick first run
