I was actually seriously considering buying an Elise recently. After the test drive of a low mile 05 I just didn't think I could live with all the rattles, and the amount of attention that it attracts is uncomfortable as well.

I say the Yaris is cheap enough just to use as an about town car. Its not going to depreciate an absurd amount either.

I know I know...a month ago it would of already been in my garage but I just don't it's the right move at this time.

The Elise is a hand built car made for the track, it doesn't really belong on the streets...but that's how they gotta make money. It's not that bad. True it's not for everyone but that's what I love about it. Also it has a Toyota powertrain/drivetrain that's pretty much what I was sold on.

hehehe. i think youre just saying that because it is summer already and youre not feeling the pain. come rainy season and youll get water buildup in your carpets and youll wish you bought the yaris.:) i see that you have an 05. no rattles yet? i also considered an elise but went with an evo after i heard about the leaks and rattles. it corners way much better than the evo though.

just face it. like the lotus, you got the yaris because you want to be different.:) the yaris is more practical as a runabout and to rack up over 100,000 miles without losing too much money.
