5W20 or 5W30?

The manual for my 2012 yaris calls for 5W20 but the filler cap says 5W30. Does it matter if I use 5W20 or 5W30?

Just checked my 2012 owners manual and it specifies SAE 5W-30 like the other years and says nothing about synthetic.
