The recessed area in the center is where the bulb is located. 1/4 turn with a flat head screwdriver releases it.

thanks, this post has helped me loads, can I ask, this green bulb.. can it be replaced with different colours? as I have replaced the head unit, its lights are orange/red and the climate control are green, I'm hoping to match them up.
