What that front cover/storage for?
Hello, my front cover just below the steering wheel doesn't close all the way and I was wondering if you guys knew the cause for it and a fix? Maybe replacing that cover. Just in case you guys didn't know what I was talking about I've have a link to the pictures.

^error with the photo. You may want to check to see if a screw is missing - it shouldn't be ajar exposing the wires.

Either something inside the basket is jamming it or the wires behind it are bunched up. Remove the basket and reinstall it

On the sides of it there are these little bulges that keep it shut, I put a bite of duct tape on them and it stays shut. It used to fall out all the time for me.

There is actually supposed to be a small metal clip attached to top of the opening. They are easy to lose.
I though there was a separate part number for the clip, but I am not seeing one is the parts catalog. Also check the bottom of the cubby. It is easy to bend the hinge part when snapping the cubby back on if they are bent then it sits higher than it should.

I just use my side cubby as coin change holder for food drive-thru.

Great place for a wallet on long trips.
...and yes the stupid little metal clip comes off every once in a while. |

I've used mine for lots of different things, including storing sunglasses. Currently, I use it to store paper clips.
