Good. A congressional seat in Pinellas County recently opened up when Rep. Young passed away. Even though Young (a Republican) had held the seat for 40 years, I heard a well known Democrat (Alex Sink) was expected to win, the Republican (David Jolly, a former Young staffer) whose marriage had ended and was dating a much younger woman (some eyebrows raised in this particular district), carved out a narrow victoryin the special election. I found this at least a bit encouraging.

It took 45 minutes of 1-4 to go from one side of Orlando to the other

I noticed this. I was staying in Kissimmee and decided to go to Mount Dora, stopping in Sanford on the way (I took I-4 to Sanford, and then a back road to Mount Dora, rather than taking 441...I returned via 441). I left after rush hour, and it took the 45 minutes you mention to get across Orlando. You could feel the tension in Sanford that day. I later learned that that was the day that Sooner and Uhrig quit as Zimmerman's attorneys.
