It was the radiator cap. The level started going down faster and new white spots showed up coming from the cap. I rented a pressure tester but it didn't have an adapter that fitted my cap or my radiator. I drove a long ways with the new cap and it-no-leaky :)

The overflow tank was empty, how do I know if I have a bubble in my system?

You will know when you open the rad cap (when cold). You won't see any liquid
