Not trying to be a smart ass, but I wasn't in my car next to my manual so I Googled "how many quarts..." and found this thread. I'm very glad someone asked the question. I'm sure many more will find this thread when they look for this answer when they're away from their manual.

Huh.. Nobody go by the dip stick? When I buy oil by the quart or gallon jugs then it's not had. It goes all in. But when they freaking sell by 5.5L jugs, I just pour in until the dip stick shows "full". Anyone?

I agree with IllusionX,
Just pour it in until it reads full or whatever level you prefer. Sometimes that might be 3.5 qts or 3.9 qts. |

I have 3.5 quarts in mine, just a hair below the full mark.

That's just fine but in my experience a little low is better than a little high. I blew the oil pressure sender out when I mistakenly added four quarts to the engine during an oil change. I thought "so what" but then the sender blew and cost me $76 + of course it did it on a rainy day!

I'll look through the user manual, I'm pretty sure it says 4qt. Will report back

It really is 3.7 Litres of oil with new filter. 3.9 US quarts or 3.3 Imp quarts with new filter.
