I have 2014 SE automatic. Just shy of 33mpg since new with 50% city/ 50% highway driving. That's pen and paper calculation, car computer always reads about 1-2 mpg higher.

That is how it should be! I don't believe on some "method calculation" or stupid ECU readings, that why I asked you guys, there nothing better that the real world experience! Unfortunately the answer come too late I already get the car.
37 MPG is not something impressive anymore, a lot of cars have same or even better MPG and some of them are even normal size cars. Probably was better to get Fit or Matrix or something equivalent. The Yaris is very noisy car inside and I love to drive manual and I have a lot of experience with manual cars, but the first gear of this car is just tragic.

Best!

the matrix and fit are plenty noisy....especially the manual fit. I promise you the manual fit is as noisy or more so than the yaris, and the highway rpm's are higher than they yaris. the manual yaris also has a higher epa rating than the manual fit.

sure there are cars rated higher, but Toyota and Honda vehicles, for whatever reason, have always (for me, anyway) gotten better real world mpgs than higher rated cars from other automakers. looking at fuelly or fueleconomy.gov, the yaris gets as good or better real world mileage as the 40mpg rated cars, some of which really struggle to get anywhere near that in the real world.

Hi,

To Everyone! My MPG result is for 10.077 Gallons of the cheapest Gas 366 miles. With normal driving, no pushing myself to keep good fuel economy. 70% City and the rest Highway. For me this topic is closed, there is nothing more to be added.

P.S. If somebody knows working method or topic of how to "damping the noise in yaris " will be great to share it with me and the others. :D

Best to all!
