I worked for a Toyota dealer for 10.5 years. At this point you really don't have much to go on since it wasn't towed anywhere and is still running. It is a hard thing to prove. Those quick lube places were our best customers when it came to replacing engines, oil filter housings, tow-ins, etc. Some of the stupid stuff I have seen. I miss working for Toyota, but the promotion to one of our other franchises was so worth it. LoL

If I take it into the dealership there isn't much they can do or say is there?

Oh... And stay away from Jiffy Lube type places (I'm still spreading the word ) if you can avoid them. Do you have any friends who would let you do oil changes in their driveways/garages?
Documented everything best I could with pics including odometer, oil filter box/receipts, and oiled khaki's.

I have never felt comfortable with them or similar, but often I am working when everyone is off and everything is open, I am off when everyone is sleeping/working or businesses are closed.

UPDATE: District manager is supposed to be in contact within 48 hours we will see.

.
When you go to JL again explain what happened the last time. Maybe that will make them more carefull?

Better yet before driving away check the drain plug and filter for tightness and the oil level too.

Oh no I forgot you cant test the oil to make sure they put 5-30 in there!

I am SO glad I do all my own oil changes I didn't let ANYONE touch my vehicles while I could still work on them.

Maybe you better look at this "I have to have JL change my oil" fixation with the thought that if they do the work its going to be deja vu all over again.
