Horrors! (at least for me)

If you live in a place where wheels get stolen I guess you want lug nuts that need a special key to remove them.

If not, and things like the special tool needed to remove the lug nuts have a habit of disappearing, you run the risk of not being able to get the wheel off in an emergency.

Steel wheels being stolen? Certainly possible in maybe 5% of the State of NJ.

This reminds me of my Yamaha FZ1 motorcycle, a 144 horsepower monster of a bike. Every freaking fastner on it was lock tighted in place. I mean every single one! Trying to loosen a fastner usually meant stripping the hex head. I guess they assume you have Snap On sockets and wrenches. All I have is Craftsman.

I imagine Yamaha had a problem with one or two fastners coming loose and so decided to superglue everything together in the factory.

A clear case of overkill.
