The Yaris is taller than most other cars at almost 60 inches, so that's why they're roomy. I remember the old Ford Pintos of the 1970s. They were quite low, like sitting in a go cart. The back seat was so bad, it felt like you were sitting on the floor with your knees up, almost against the front seat.

![]() ![]() That's my '76 Pinto "Stallion" hatchback I had from around 79-81. I drove the hell out of that car, but very rarely was the backseat not folded down as it was my surfmobile and I rarely carried anyone else other than young ladies in the passenger seat!
