Could be "beating" phenomena--happens when two pulse generators are just slightly out of phase. Like tread blocks hitting pavement on two almost identical front tires. I noted something like that w/ new-to-me 2007 on all seasons on factory steelies. Also loud road noise...had me doing the S-swerves test to check front wheel bearings. Put on 4-set of well worn but amazingly even winters on Mazda steelies and note how loud they are. (Without noting the beat.) Solution: turn off radio and enjoy listening to the very different sounds of different surface textures, gravel and sand coatings, rumble strips, water...
