As for AMSOIL, yes it is very good oil but it is insanely priced and distribution is an issue. You can't find it everywhere. Don't want to insult anybody but there also seems to be a cult-like mentality to those that use it.

Again great oil, but not worth the price in all but the most extreme situations. Of course if they would give it to me for free I would use it. LOL.

Free. LOL. How is distribution an issue? Get it from Amsoil website? In Canada, they are shipped to my door in 2 days.

Anyways, I'm only using I because it is actually cheaper than Royal Purple.

And I've been extending to once a year and 10000km

How much do you pay for shipping?

I always wait for Mobil 1 or Castrol Edge on sale for ~$28-30 and get a 4.4L/5L jug. It's working perfectly fine for me. I've never seen Amsoil on the shelf anywhere in Canada

I though they increased price alot lol seeing them listed at 52.85$ for a gallon lol

But if you get the membership, it comes to about the same price as Royal Purple. 35-40$ the gallon

Shipping is 10-15$ I buy 4 gallon at once and I'm good for 3-4 years.

I've been using RP for many years, but got fed up traveling almost 2hours round trip to get it, or pay for shipping. I used to get them for 37$ the gallon at performance improvements, but price has increased so I turned to Amsoil shipped to me home.


I'm likely not going with synthetic oil for my next car though.
