The padding does next to nothing in an accident. There is a reason why cars with roll cages use harnesses and racing seats. This car is not the safest thing to be inside in the event of an accident anyway. Unless you have proper racing seats, harnesses, etc. then a cage can be very dangerous. Or you could just wear a helmet every day.

oh, i thought we were talking about daily driving with some fast cornering. i didn't think we were talking about accidents. my bad. then yeah, i don't think padding will help much in a serious accident.
