If they had polish made units which comply with euro emissions or Toyota source them from another engine plant somewhere in Japan or Asia.

Mine has done 130,000 miles. I've had a water pump, exhaust, battery and an alternator (bad voltage regulator) in that time. I'm pretty happy. She's never stranded me. Always starts and gets me around until i got her fixed.

I have only changed the battery. 107.500miles so far. Made in France. Makes me wonder if you had bad luck or the France yaris is tougher.
