I had the exact same problem with my 07 Yaris. The b pillar bottom trim would pop out at the top and even if you pushed it back in, it would end up working itself free eventually. I took the whole piece off the car and found the problem was that there are two L shaped plastic tabs that are supposed to hook under the door seal on both sides of the b pillar. You need to peal back the door seal so you can re-seat the L shaped tabs under the seal and then just push the seal back on. You might be able to just peal the seal back in the two spots you need to but I ended up taking the front and rear door scuff plates pieces off and pealing back the seal from the bottom.
Take a look at the second page you can see the back side of the center pillar lower garnish (as Toyota has called it) has two protruding tabs that need to go under the front and rear door seals. Last edited by B.B._07; 04-15-2017 at 02:34 PM. |
