Had an... interesting... exchange with the owner of this SE yesterday evening. Was on my way home from a friends house in Westminster when I spotted it cruising up Brookhurst. Custom plate, super dark tint and being an SE had me trying to catch up to it for a closer look. The flow of traffic allowed me to do so, but when we both found ourselves side by side at the next red light, the driver didn't seem interested in looking over and exchanging smiles for Yaris love. Instead, they stopped short, just behind my view, so I shrugged it off and continued north on Brookhurst. Windows were too dark to tell if it was a male or female driving.
From a few blocks North of Bolsa until the 22 fwy, the SE kept lagging behind me, then speeding up and getting in front of me. I found it a little odd, but again, was over it by that point and continued on. At the red light to turn left onto the 22 East, we once again found ourselves at the front of the line and next to each other. Once again, the SE stopped short of my passenger window view. The light went green and we both started the left onto the 22 fwy ramp. If you're from SoCal, you're probably familiar with how the 22 East on-ramp going North on Brookhurst makes a nice, long 180 degree turn onto the fwy. Being that I was in the left lane, I was on the outside lane. After the gutter dip and as we started onto the 180 degree on-ramp, the SE accelerated aggressively and was obviously trying to take me from the inside lane. Being that it appeared to be on factory suspension, I couldn't resist the bait and obliged the challenge. I was able to pull past him/her from the outside lane and got on the fwy ahead of them. We both merged onto the fwy (me a little more sketchy than them as I had someone in my blind spot that I had to stop my lane change for) and continued on.
At that point, I decided to keep it chill and cruise in the second to slow lane since my next merge was going to happen from that lane (57 North). The SE, for whatever reason, decided to stay right behind me in the same lane. It followed me for several exits and then got off on Bristol, or an exit or two before, I can't recall. As I say, the entire episode was...interesting.
On a related note, anyone know what ABCLAG means?
