when screwing into the two holes, make sure that you have released the emergency brake.
I kept the emergency brake applied and the brake shoes were push so tight against the drum, so I one spring actually popped off, and caused small cracks on the backing plate.
Luckily I was able to put the spring back, but I really worried that the spring will come off someday.
