What car would you like to see in production again?

Do you mean bring back the way it was originally, or in a modern form?

The Supra will be here soon. Not sure everyone will be happy with the final specs, but it's coming.

I would personally like to see the return of the mighty RX-7. I doubt it would sell well, but that's what I'd like to see.

I hadn’t heard they were bringing it back again! Very interesting! But to my way of thinking, I would only be interested in the original one.

One of my great disappointment in life happen in 2000 when I was in the market for a new car. I always wanted a Honda Civic but when I drove the 2000 model it wasn’t small enough it was too big. I said to myself “I can’t believe it but I’m not going to buy this car!“ Lucky for me I found the Toyota Echo Which was quite small possibly smaller than the original civic. I was very happy with it!

Just like Acura failed hard with the "NSX," I'm sure Toyota isn't going to do well with the "Supra," especially since it'll lack a manual transmission and only have around 330 hp at a $60k price point.

Hard to argue that Although, I'm not sure the NSX was a hard fail. It puts up some numbers and apparently the driving experience is something else.

When your sales count is in the single digits and you offer 30k off the car and still can't sell them, that's pretty bad.

Again, can't argue that lol but from a driving perspective only, guys like Matt Farah drive it and then ramp and rave about how good it is. Something tells me it won't be the same with the new Supra.

That, itself is a bad indication. Great driving car that was praised by The Smoking Tire, and yet still sales are lackluster???

I could be way off base here, but I feel like when people who can afford that car see the performance numbers on paper, they close their mind to it without considering anything else.

Reminds me of the Tesla bit in the latest episode of Silicon Valley on HBO, where one Model S version going 0-60 at a fraction of a second less than the other version has the guy bummed out. Once that happens enough, the rumor of it being a disappointment propagates and it's downhill from there when at the end of the day, it's probably a fantastic machine.

In a different way, we've been literally watching that happen with the Yaris. Great little car that gets killed by the reviewers and therefore slept on by most people as illustrated by lower sales numbers.

The Supra on the other hand, in automatic only?! That's more than just sales numbers, that's tangible disappointment, imho.

I would like to see the return of the classic version with the big curved wing on the back.

I saw a new Supra a couple of years ago at a car show. Very modern looking in an ugly, very angular way.

I put 500 miles on a rental one of these, but it was the 4-cylinder w/o the body attachments...suspect it would be a little lighter on it's toes and better balanced than the 6-cylinder. Add the base Celica of this photo to my list.
