Hazards / Signals Not Working
Simply put, my turn signals and hazards do not work.
(2007 liftback) I checked all the fuses - under dash, and under hood. And all seemed to be OK. I pulled the flasher relay, and it looked fine so I put it back. (unless i missed something but there wasn't much to look at) I checked the rear signal bulbs and they looked to be seated fine. I looked for any loose wiring or connections and couldn't find anything. I recently JUST had the bumper replaced from being rear-ended very lightly. (It had just snapped a couple of the tabs that hold on the bumper) However, the past couple of days have been fine after that repair. I was also JUST backed into by a truck, putting a decent sized dent in the panel to the rear of the drivers side door (it just missed the door and the gas cap door). However, again, its been a day since that happened and the blinkers were fine last night and this morning. Likely going to take it into a mechanic but I figured I'd check here see if I could DIY this over the weekend. Thanks. |

I had the same thing happen and it was one of the rear signal lights shorting out against the body (the lamp base had fallen out of the housing)
Maybe check that again? |

Welp.
Spent 20 bucks on a new flasher relay, which did nothing. I re-checked the rear signal bulbs. All seated fine, look good. I removed and replaced the 10A gauge fuse, even though it looked fine and no change. Even unplugged the battery for about 15 to reset the ECU. Still no hazards or signals. Everything else seems OK. |

Get yourself a decent cheap test light and check for power and ground, that way you can rule out one or the other. A test light will also let you test the fuses with 100% certainty.

Thanks I'll get one of those for sure.
Its not isolated to the back. All signals / hazards are out. But every other light on the functions fine. |
