I had 17s in my Yaris before. Ride quality is good, but it will probably also depend on your suspension setup. If you are on stiff coilovers, it will probably have a harsher ride. Try to get lightweight 17s. I’m in Eibach ProKit springs and KYB Lowfer Sports dampers. TRD recommends 205/45/17 tires. I wouldn’t suggest anything beyond 7 inch wheel width cuz of rubbing issues.
