Wonderful! What a great trip and nicely documented. Don't know how I missed this before. As children - a family of 5 - we traveled Europe extensively for 3 months in 1975 VW microbus (yeah, my parents were bordering on being hippies). This was in 1975. We had departed Montreal, PQ, landing in Hamgurg where we picked up a new VW cargo van at the VW manufacturing plant and built a camping interior in the parking lot of a lumber yard. We eventually landed Oxford, England for a calendar year. Fortunately, Dad documented the trip with both pictures and film and we occasionally have a family gathering and reminisce via slide shows and old Super 8 film. This is the kind of thing we'd like to do with our children. They are currently 9 and 11, and it would soon be a good time to do so. Thanks for this. I really enjoyed your post and it has rekindled my desire to travel. Hopefully, covid-19 will be well managed within the next few years, as I'd love to embark on an adventure before too long.
