I'm interested in why and how you can say this. Every oil, dino or synthetic, has a lifespan — does it not? So if you change out dino lube on schedule — ie: before it fails, why should it not be OK? Even dino oil has detergents and agents in it that are the developments of research and chemistry.
And BTW: I for one won't put an all synthetic oil into an older engine that has been running dino all it's life. I've seen the proof of how old gaskets can begin weeping, and I've read why it happens. But that's just me with the evidence on the garage floor. YMMV. |
