Intermittent ABS activation at low speeds is a classic sign of a faulty or misread wheel speed sensor, even if th toe rings look find. The color difference may just be a batch or supplier code, not an indicator of OEM vs. a solid replacement part. Since the left side looks newer, you could start by swapping the left and right frond sensors to see if the problem transfersto either side.
