Upgrade 2014 Yaris stereo to a stereo with carplay

Hey,

So Ive been looking to upgrade my yaris to have a stereo with apple carplay, as have been getting fustrated using phone mounts to use sat nav.

Preface:

• The currently installed stereo unit is the Fujitsu 19007).
• Im currently on a tight budget and wouldnt like to exceed £200 so was looking to self install if possible.

Im wondering if the lack of guides suggests that this stereo is just simply not feasable to be upgraded.

It appears that most after market units sold for the yaris seem to only accept if there is already an after market unit in (I assume as the connector adaptors are already present.)

Ive also had a look at decoders which allow you to keep the unit but add carplay functionality. But then these appear to require Touch 2 or Entune 2.0.

So im wondering if anyone else has upgraded this specific unit and could offer some advice.

NOTE: Im aware that in some installation reverse camera can be quite technical and would like to retain this functionality (Rev cam is stock - I think)
