The thing I've seen that snaps rods is higher RPMS more so than 50HP on a stock motor. Figure the increase of 100 HP is 25hp per cylinder, about what a 150cc Honda CRF150R makes with a rod the size of a spoon. high RPM's will increase piston speed, and it's the point at which the piston stops traveling upward that the rod recieves the greatest stress.

I think this is why a lot of guys like the Supercharger idea, because your operating RPMs do not change drastically. I think leaving the rev-limiter stock, or within a couple hundred RPM's of the stock set-up would help against snapage. I could be talking out my a$$ thoguh, I am a motorcycle guy, and we deal with redlines in the 16,000 range. =) I know cars are more sensitive.

How about 19,000 range that F1 cars operate in.
