If you happened to have old blankets and carpets lying around spread them out over the car as best as you can!

That is a great idea. It really wouldn't take much padding to keep you safe from the hail we normally get. There is a moving company close to me that sales the heavy duty blankets they use after they get a little tattered and I am going to check them out today. As small as my LB is I might only need one blanket.

Yeah, I almost got an umbrella to at least protect the hood area, but I thought it would look extremely anal; blankets would be even worse. No, I finished the extra parking space today. It'll be a bit of a squeeze, but at least I'll be able to park my baby in the garage now.

As for the super-glue; I thought you meant on the paintjob at first. I thought, no way! But for the windshield, that's actually a great idea. I think I'll get some, just in case. I just jinxed myself.

Back in Brisbane (Australia) during hail season I used to have a roll of carpet in the back of the car to protect the car if I couldn't find cover. I'd rather do that than scurry around looking for covered shelter when a hailstorm hits.

That's not snow, it doesn't snow in Brisbane.
