If someone manages to find BailOut's fuel economy thread cached please salvage it. I can't seem to find it myself.

Wow, this is horrible.
The Hacker should be sent to prison (seriously) if caught. Thousands of hours of group effort gone. |

I've learned more here than I have at Toyota's Yaris site. All of that is lost now. I really didn't care about losing posts or my account, I feel bad for those who took the time to write really great informational stuff for the new people on the forum. And it really sucks for them that they might have to re write everything again, some threads people might just not bother re making. =/ |

And thats fine if they weren't that important, but the stickies were pretty important. Some of them were old enough so they were backed up. The FE subforum though is totally bare. Ah well.

Changes?
With the current state of the forum being changed, mainly due to the hack. Are there any possibilities that we are going to see a forum overhaul?
I would like to see our main forum options have subforums for everything: Examples: Performance Modifcation: -Engine mod -Intake mod -Exhaust mod -Suspension mod -Brake mod Forced Induction: -Turbocharged -Supercharged -Other Wheels/Rims/Tires ================================= We need to rejuvenate the Yaris Spotlight threads. I would love to see there being our regional sections, but with one person (moderator without the normal powers of a mod) devoted to updating the section including a calander or such if they come across any type of car/yaris related information at hand. I know the Cali guys would LOVE to have everything on a calandar. I think we need to subsection the Everything else catagory...To where we have post whore threads, political threads, rant/rave threads, other car threads, etc. Just so we can move certain things where they belong. As for a thread that is devoted to EVERYTHING it can get a bit jumbled together. Our vendors need their own sections again. Our Classifieds area needs a section for: For sale items, Wanted items, and cars for sale, other stuff for sale sections...this will keep things organized for sure. These are just an idea to get things a bit more organized IF there is ever a forum overhaul. IF ANYONE HAS OTHERS IDEAS, PLEASE POST THEM HERE!!!!! I for one think the forum is a bit dated. It doesnt have the flare as some of the other forums, but at least if we dont change the total look of the way things are, we can at least modify it for the better!

Agreed. Now would be a good time to overhaul the forums. I would suggest to update vBulletin to the latest version, and getting some plugins, such as the "Live Update" one (like the mp3car.com forums)

Scikotics.com has a killer website now, would be awesome to have something like that.
I am all for Premium member fees for us Hardcore users if it would call for having a much higher grade forum with proper bandwidth! ($10/year). Seeing that the funds are pushed into the forum development and maitenance.

LOL!!!!!!!!
... That was funny, but this is BULLsHi4t. Very pathetic for someone to do this. Shall I dare to profile this person? Probably someone that's not very liked, someone who's lonely and needs great attention. Something with.. A VAGINA! =P Whatever, we all learn from out mistakes. Next time everything will just be backed up better, and we can ALL go out and do new DIY!!!!!!!!!! |
