Glad your okay bronzebullet, hopefully you recover most of your
Mods ,and are able to start over.
i feel the same way. being 25 and struggling bills and paying this thing monthly i dont see it as a throw away car. if so i wouldnt be out there every week vacuuming and reading it poetry lol

although truth be told i wouldnt mind getting out of the loan some how and buying one that was used for like 7k less than what i owe lol

Anyway, this is the reason why anyone without a Y chromosone shouldn't have a license.

I'm waiting to figure out all the insurance stuff but I made an excel sheet with all the parts I bought and my bike and stuff. I'm gonna get it all reimbursed hopefully.

I'm most likely going to buy a 2010 BLACK 3dr Lift back. I saw the interior is changed a bit. Do they still have the auxillary jack?

Ill post pics when i get home.
Here are the pics of my destroyed pride and joy(s). Sway bars, TRD Exhaust, DF210 Springs, and wheels. All that stuff is gonna get replaced on my new car. Suprisingly, as bad as it looks, our eggs hold up in an accident. My egg is now an omelette. When the small brain hit me, all the yolk came out. lol. Thanks for all the support guys. and gals...

glad your ok man. I've too got tapped on the ass from a old Mercedes car (pure metal vs plastic). Lady was looking below dashboard when coming to a stop, wtf? really......

lol at the girl driver comments, i can't say too much about female drivers, i've had some drive my ass home when passed out lol.....

Why is it, esp in California that when it rains, people start driving MORE stupid....?

The problem is not the lack of a Y chromosome. The problem is that you were hit by a minivan driver. Male or female, they are notorious for being horrible drivers and causing numerous issues!

So please don't make statement regarding the fairer sex being horrible drivers. I am actually quite a good driver, and I am female.

I have to agree, if you have a minivan you are probably a bad driver, and probably not paying any attention, I think when you go to a dealer and ask to test drive a minivan they should take you license in the back and cut it up.

What about the bike? What are you going to get to replace that? Did you need to come up with receipts to prove what you paid for it? Ditto shades.
So many rear end accidents you hear about. Wife, son, and daughter have each had at least one in the past five years. (not me) Only one guy had insurance and one of them split then cell phoned his posse to the scene to lie to the cops he wasnt there! Really you have to check your ass EVERY time you come to a stop.

I just found out this dirtbag of a human doesn't have insurance... which is common in California given its proximity to Mexico...

Since her lack of insurance won't cover it, I now will have to send a demand letter to her telling her basically "Where's my money bitch?". lol. Then if she refuses to pay for it, I'll send my goons to break her kneecaps (aka take her to small claims, and take her money in front of a judge) So to summarize this I have a lot of shit to deal with. I have uninsured motorist, so my car is covered. But the bike is gonna be a hassle.

Actually, your insurance company should take care of all the damage/bike, then they will have to go after the other driver in court. Unless you don't have uninsured/underinsured motorists coverage. Then you're screwed.

Hmm, judging by the front-end damage, the truck you hit from behind is probably going to come after your insurance for being too close behind him. Better get some witness statements or maybe traffic cameras to show that you were stopped a safe distance from the tryck and the driver pushed you all the way into the truck.

Right thats what happened to us in like four accidents. Actually when the other guy HAD insurance (one in five times) WE had to pay $4000 for the body shop and then they reimbursed us. Took months. You pay and get reimbursed OR wait months for them to pay for the work to get done.
They say 50% of everybody living in and near Philly DOESNT have insurance. Uninsured/underinsured motorist is the most important part of your insurance bill.

+1.

I am very proud of my Yaris and did a lot of research on small cars available in the US before getting it.

Yes, I'm the same person who complains constantly on this forum about 1st gear being too touchy and getting caught in the cross wind, but I still love my ride , so it's definitely not a disposable car for me.

OP, glad you're OK. Keep the Y chromosome comment to yourself when you call your insurance, especially if you hear a female voice answering the phone

until i've got mine paid off down to about $4,000 I don't even want to think about having it totaled. Would hate to lose it with gas below $4/gal... if gas were to sky-rocket... the value of our eco cars would go up as well... which would make it easier to deal with having to buy a new yaris.
