So I just went to the dealership and told them what was wrong with the car and the guy says "Hold on lemme find out how much I am going to charge you for that"

I replied simply "nothing! Its covered under warranty" but he went to check anyway.

He came back after talking to the mechanic and said that he was going to have too charge me a 125$ diagnostic labor fee and then "IF" the squeak is not "the drivers fault" then he will waive the 125$ fee... but if they find something else then they will hold the car until I pay...

I of course did not bring any money with me said "NO! all you have to do is grease it ... i Don't want a diagnostic.... and your not gonna charge me!"
He replied: " And I am just supposed take your word for it that thats all that needs to be done"?

I said: "just like I'm supposed to take your word for it when you come back with some absurd reason on why its not covered under the warranty!"

so He refused to budge and neither did I and i eventually just told him to bring my car back around and that I will do it myself! and I stormed out

So I see the thread that Bella posted but is there something more detailed/step by step that will help me further? for example I don't know where the things in the picture are even located!

1. purchase can of lithium grease
2. print pic
3. open hood
4. locate shifter cables on transmission
5. identify actual to pic location (match up)
6. spray yellow circled area with lube, shift through gears to work grease into affected area, respray as needed

hope this helps

wooohooo! After looking for like 10 min and then brining my computer down to the car and then looking for another 10 min and then having my friend depress the clutch to get the general location..... I FINALLY FOUND IT

In that picture it looks way bigger than it actually is! lol i didnt realize how zoomed in it was! lol

but yes I found it and tomorrow I am going to auto-zone and getting the lube to grease it!

anyone have any suggestions on which brand/type

efff the dealership!

WOW! so I just bought the grease and sprayed it into the spots on the afore mentioned thread and ba-da-bing-bada-boom! it literally took less time than it took to smoke a cigarette and now the clutch shifts soooooo much easier!!
Thank you every one who helped me out with this you guys are awesome!
