Here's a 400 mile test drive of a 2012 Impreza 2.0i Sport ( H.B. ) with the C.V.T. at Mpg-O-Matic . Averaged 31.9 overall . http://www.mpgomatic.com/2012/07/19/...-sport-review/ .

Here it is, the one I got, I'm getting it on Monday I went for the premium model pearl white which has heated seats, and alloy rims among a few other nice features, I got for $15700 on the road, They gave me $5000 for my Yaris which wasn't too bad.

After years of farting around with Jeeps and the like...I came to the conclusion that there's no one "good car" for every task, unless the weather and the job stays the same.

Certainly in PA the weather changes. So the ideal car for that January moment, is not necessarily the best for the summer season.

Were I in that situation...I'd buy, probably, an old 4x4 truck or SUV. JUST for those snowy days.

But then, I have a Tercel as my winter beater right now, and here in deep-frozen Wisconsin, where the side streets are packed with two-month-old snow crust...I'm having no trouble getting around. Granted, a lot may depend on the local geography...but all-wheel-drive is pretty complex and maybe an unnecessary expense.

But we all have to find our own way. Good luck with it.

Yep. Kind of like Idahotom with his Yaris and RAV4.

what we need is a drive train out of a AWD matrix in a Yaris ....with a six speed.
now that would be cool...and just for deep snow air ride from the limited 4runner haha...ok maybe little much on the air ride.

Here's the official pictures of my new Subaru Impreza. Already fallen in love with the car. I will post on the MPG in a bit.

Congrats! One of my relatives has a 2007 Impreza 5-door (purchased new). She loves to snowboard, and she takes it up to Lake Tahoe all the time. Trying to pry her away from that car would be futile. She had a Mazda Tribute SUV before that, and the drivetrain in the Tribute crapped out on her at just over 60k miles

Well I had to return the Subaru because of 2 reasons, first the cars ground clearance just didn't cut for my private road in fact I think the yaris had more ground clearance that was the first reason to return the car, second I had the car not even a week and the oil light came on so I check the oil to my surprise NO oil at all on the dip stick dry as could be, so I call the dealership up and said I need a tow back to your dealership once there I requested to return the car fortunately I was still under the 5 day 300 mile money back guarantee that the dealership had, so they took the car back with no question since it was only 4 days and I only had 150 miles on it and gave all my money back. So the other car/vehicle I was considering was the Honda CRV, so they took me to a Honda dealership that wasn't part of their dealership. So I got a brand new 2014 Honda CRV LX it was $2k more than the Impreza and doesn't have heated seats but I think I won't go wrong with the Honda, plus a big plus it's ground clearance is perfect for my road no problems. I will keep you informed of the mileage when I get some miles on it. Here's a picture of it.

Also I saw on the carmax website that my Yaris is selling for $10,899 and they are saying that is it a S model, they gave me $5000 for the car.

So , you paid under $20,000 . Is it a auto or manual tranny ?
