New here, hey everyone!
Purchased a 07 Yaris hatch today from a local dealership. I always liked em, but never really looked into them, especially the aftermarket aspect. Found a deal I couldn't pass up though, and I'm stoked on it! Equally as stoked to find such an informative forum to go along with it.

You could very well be right, assumed the dealership would check, but I'll double check in the morning.
thanks! Also, as you can see the cap is missing on the rear wheel, anyone know where I could find a replacement? Wanting to replace the tires also to take up some of the empty space, and the 35R on it now seem to be SUPER stiff. Currently running 21535R18's was thinking of going up to a 50R with a better all around tread design. Just curious what people think I might be able to fit in there, not interested in any lowering at the moment. Last edited by Sam8madness; 11-23-2011 at 11:58 PM. |

Welcome.
"You could very well be right, assumed the dealership would check" That could be a costly assumption down the road. How many miles on that 07 cause it looks okay? Did you get any kind of warranty with it? |

Great deal on it for sure. Girlfriends father works there, all checked out great. Purchased at the dealership I bought it from, all service done at the dealership, car facts confirms it. It has a limited warranty 1000 mile 6 month warranty on practically everything on the car, might pick up the optional dealership extended warranty, undecided right now. Lighter then the stock steel ones? I didn't put them on, they came with them. I don't care how heavy the rims are either way, only a few subtle appearance changes planned, and some all weather tires. Also, checked the tire pressure, it's spot on. My preview car was a 1960 Rancher, daily driver for 3 years. I did mods and work on almost every part of it, just going to drive this for awhile, that's the plan anyway. |

Nice Yaris, and I like those rims as well!
I was stationed up in Idaho (Mountain Home AFB) back in the mid-80s, and loved the place. We went up to Idaho Falls once during the winter, I think it was one of the coldest places I have ever been to in my life! Welcome to the forum! Cheers! M2

thanks mad max!
I'm in Twin falls, doesn't seem to get that cold really. We get a 2-3 week spell of negative weather, few inches of snow here and there, but for the most part I'd call it mild. |

Sorry, brain fart. I visited Twin Falls several times while up there, it was pretty nice. Your weather was pretty much like ours was up in Mountain Home and even up to Boise. A lot more moderate than up in the Sawtooth range.
But I've softened up in my old age, these days I can easily take the months of triple-digit heat here in southcentral Texas than even one day of bitter cold. I was up in Omaha a few weeks back and we had one day of snow, and it was enough to remind me of why I no longer can stand the stuff... Oh, and as for the missing center cap, try contacting your Toyota dealer and see if they can order one for you; or try one of the many outstanding vendors on this forum. Cheers! M2

VERYquick shop job of the rims
going to black out the side lights, tint front and rear lamps also. Still undecided on what I want to do rims/tires wise. It'll be low on my list though since my current set up is golden. |

I LOVE black accessories, but HATE black cars.
This will be fully repainted at some point. The deal was just to good to pass up, I'd of been an idiot to say no based on color when I'm fully capable of respraying the entire car. Actually think I'm going to go with classic Primer Red instead. Badges will be sprayed to match. Think it's a bit more unique then all black. Also need to re-spray the mirrors this weekend. What do you guys think? |

Oh, I don't know.. I think the Yaris is pretty sexy in black! You could avoid repainting it but adding stripes on the side, and maybe a decal on the roof.. Some of the stuff done professionally looks really good, not cheap at all, and will enhance the look of the car. Look in the cosmetic mod section, there are some threads.
