Best way to scent a car?

Alright. I've tried the little trees. And the little candles. And anything else that hangs from the mirror, sticks to the window, or clips on the vent. I've tried the cans of gel. And the powders. And sprays.

They all work for a little while. A week, maybe. The ones than hang from the mirror bother me because they're always swaying around in my peripheral vision.

Some just smell like crap. But nothing lasts.

So here's what I'm thinking: those timemist things (http://www.timemist.com) in a car. Hooked up to spray maybe every 30 minutes when the car is running. Maybe just once when the doors unlock via remote? I don't know.

What's the best product you've found?

Hmmm... depends on the scent! If you transport a cat, for instance ...

http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21437

... you'll get a real long lasting scent! Hehehe !

Seriously, I know what you mean about the scented trees and stuff.

Try febreze on the seats maybe?

I've seen some "After Tobacco" scents before, and thought to myself, "WTF? Isn't that what people are trying to cover?" lol. Anyway, "My Shaldan Air Fresheners" are good. I'm using them since the ones I've been buying from Wally World don't work unless it's like 100 degrees inside the car.

if you always drive windows down, you don't really need scent for your car. Those things work best with AC.

and btw, when you are used to the scent, you will not smell it anymore.

I keep a scented candle in a jar in my middle cuo holder and my car smells great. You just have to find the right scent, mine smells like fresh baked cookies.

I have tried alot of air fresheners and I am hooked on one. I know many of us have heard of the "Squash" scent and I know some people are like "why would you want a vegetable scent in your car".

Oh but I am here to tell ya it is the sweetest smelling thing these nostrils have ever taken in. It has a sort of bubble gum and citrus scent to it and is beyond belief and I have never smelled anything close to it or even like it. I usually use the AS Squash Scented Air Spencer from here https://www.getsquash.com/store/

There are all kinds of different ways to get the "squash" smell but that air freshener lasts me about 2- 3 months strong. The person that owns the site is awesome and has free 2-3 day shipping and will have the order out within 24 hrs and sometime if you order it early enough they will ship same day.

Just thought I would put in my 2 cents and tell everyone its definitley worth the money. I havent even found anyone on EBay that comes close to their prices either.

the little square scent papers the car wash guys throw under my seats seem to work quite well...they don't last 2-3 months but, are part of what i already pay for the car wash...i with cherry and have had people tell me my car smells like cherry long after i've tossed out the squares.

slvryaris, I decided to make an impulse purchase and I clicked the link and got befuddled with all the choices. Which one are you using?

set the airfreshener on top of the hepa filter behind the glove box? careful not to stick it in the fan itself..

squash is the best smell in the world!!! ok, maybe that's a bit extreme, but I always try to keep some in my car b/c I love the way it smells. And when other people get in my car they always say that it smells good

I've got a little "flower" of banana-bread-scented candle wax in the trunk of my sedan.
