Muffler Tip ~ Good Idea?
I'd like to install a muffler tip for my Yaris ~ Just cause i think it's plain ugly.....I'm checking out my car.....to see if there are any scratches or if it's clean.....and I get to the muffler.....and I'm like
I think I've seen someone put a muffler tip on their Yaris.....makes it look so much better and especially with that Sports Body Kit I have ~ Good idea do you guys think? Jaspie ~ |

Look mum no stars!!
|
Go buy a muffler or exhaust..................
from what i see from the yaris hatches...if you do put on a tip it will look good from the back, but from the side you can see the bolt on cuz most tips are too short. And as u see from the stocked exhaust that the end pipe is really long....

Heres the thread.
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3126 If you get a tip, get it welded on by an exhaust shop. Mine looks very clean and no bolt visible |

My 3A racing tip came with a drainage hole on the bottom, once it was installed you can't see the mounting bolt.

I never could understand why people would spend anymore then $10 on a tip.. I mean it literly does nothing.... if your gonna be spending $50+ why not just wait a lil while, save some $$ and get a muffler...
but hey, if it makes ya happy then by all means. Take some pics and be sure to post them up

I asked about the TRD one and they said they dun make it for Yaris ~ I was like WTF.....I swaer I read on here people are installing TRD exhausts ~ I don't want to order it online.....I don't have the money ATM ~ I'm saving up for Tinting and lowering springs.....and a trip to Korea/HK/Taiwan ~ So an exhaust tip will have to do ~ I'm focusing more on the lowering parts and will be getting speakers in the future.....not too worried with the exhaust ATM ~ Thanks for the suggestions anyway ~ Jaspie ~ |

Ok,let me tell you what I can see so far(this is the result of new header, and new exhaust),before the install I averaged 35-37mpg,now I average 40-43,no shit.I travel 95% highway, and I have the scangauge2 which is very very accurate, everytime I fillup it know exactly what I need before I put in the gas,2 days ago I filled up the tank, the SG2 sad I need 8.7 gallons, when I filled up,the pump said it pumped 8.649,ofcourse I filled it to 8.7.

A member here gave me his TRD tip for free.. so Im rockin' it until I get a new exhaust.
With the clamp up top, and the tip tucked back a bit further then normal, you cant even tell its a tip only. |
