12 LED Dome Light Festoon

I recently purchased and just received the following mod, very similar to Chris' HiLED dome light festoon.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/12-LED-DOME-LIGHT...QQcmdZViewItem

This has 12 white LEDs, and contains 5 different fittings for various dome light sizes.

Just installed it earlier and it looks great.
Will post pics of it later this evening.

Those are "superflux" LEDs. Very nice and bright.

I went to location that was as dark as possible, with as little ambient lighting and traffic. The moon is fairly bright at this location, so it may have manipulated the picture a bit. I assure you, it is very bright if seen in person inside and outside the vehicle.

The LED panel may not appear as bright as Chris07LB's pictures because my windows are tinted at 20%, and my interior trim is black/dark grey.

Here are the pictures as promised:

Installed

As seen from outside, all windows up

As seen from outside, front and rear passenger windows down

Peeking in from the outside, front passenger window down

Good to know.
The seller did not mention any brand names and such, so I had no idea if the panel and LEDs would be any good.

I like em, a lot.

This one has 12 LEDs as oppossed to the 6 in the HiLED panel.

But I am not sure about the size of the LEDs. Is it just me or does the HiLED panel have bigger LEDs?

LOL no.

I'll stop comparing the two now, I'm happy with what I got.

Yes, my girlfriend calls it a death light because the white/blue-ish hue of the LEDs makes your skin pale, resembling a corpse.

We had a very bad yet funny experience with a set of floor lamps I purchased which had a frosted lampshade and was fitted with "cool" frosted energy efficient bulbs.

The room looked like a morgue
Disassembled the lights, packed it up, and returned to the store for a full refund, on the same day as it was purchsaed.

Warm lighting from now on
