[QUOTE=07WYarisRS]You own a Mustang and think the yaris handles good at 185kph? LOL
I own and have owned a lot of fast cars and some nice sports cars and in no way would I ever even think about comparing the handling ofthe Yaris with a sports car at speeds over 100mph , I owned the Mustang O my God my old nissian handled better.

i believe it's illegal to remove the speed limiter. I think the point of having this in the car is to hopefully prevent excessive excessive speeding and at the same time allow police to be able to catch criminals or else their cars would keep going faster till the force of the air resistance held them at a constant speed.

As much as I love to go fast I probably will never go over 90 with the Yaris. This thing is to wimpy to try it. My S handled like a beast. !55 was my best with the S, and I've gone 175 in a nicely modded supra. :)(still had room to go, but not enough road)

There is no better feeling than taking a 110MPH turn at the top of 4'th gear with the throttle pinned to the floor and tires squeeling (this is at the racetrack ofcourse )

dont think there is a speedlimiter on the yaris, ive had it up to 118mph and it hasnt had a problem
but the motor cant handle much more than that naturally aspirated you need some boost to go faster |

Its hard to tell if the Yaris are limited and if thats the case at what speed because I have reach 117 and it doesn't go any faster but not because of a limiter its just because its a Yaris for fakes u can't ask more to the 106hp
1.5L car. It simply hasn't enought power to get over that barrier hahaha We guys need NOS!!!!!!

when you hit a speed limiter, usually your motor will slow down
the yaris does not slow down at all, it continues at full power at that speed, this means the car is topped out and cant possibly go any faster because of the lack of power |

I like the children crossing sign right up ahead... how many points for a toddler, and how many for a teenager?

I think speed limiters are for the tires more than anything else. I know that 2 of my pals both had the same model car. One had a special package that included powdercoated stock wheels and yellow lettered tires.
His speed limiter was actually lower than the other guy with the regular tires.

Update: I picked up a Greddy speed limit defender box (type A) at a local shop this weekend... I'll see about installing it this week and post up the results.
