12v port modification for extra ports, USB's, etc.
I'm not sure where to put this thread, so here it is in the main forum.
I would like help on replacing and repositioning the 12v car charger port to the passenger side central cubby hole thing that hugs the side of the radio/a/c area. I was thinking of either: 1) running a wire from the original 12v placement, under the center console, and drill a hole in the cubby hole to accommodate the wire snaked through or 2) re-solder the connection from the 12v original to the new unit, pictured below. I need at least two 12v car charging ports and two USB ports and I want to do a quality install that looks stock or thereabouts. Thanks for your help. Austin |
