this guy works with real metals, not that plastic crap or stickers. so i think the price sounds reasonable to me at least.
I would like one, can this guy send you some pic's of the mock-up ?

^ looks like you are the one who needs to take a chill pill. Garm has been selling items and supporting the community for over 6 years now which I could be mistaken, but might be one of only 2 to 3 vendors doing so. His skull emblem he is "peddling" is of high quality ABS and not the "crap" you are seeming to elude to. If you are asinine enough to blow $120 on a horrible horned metal emblem that very well could be illegal and possibly forced to removed by the official manufacturer then more power to you. On a truck, sure, that emblem would look fine and even stylish, but not on a car. It would remind me of Boss Hog's car on Dukes of Hazzard...would look totally out of place.

You have got to be out of your rabid ass mind to think that one of these horned jobs is worth a buck twenty. You wanna know what emblem is worth a buck twenty? The hood ornament for a 50's Chrysler, Buick, Plymouth, or Chevrolet. I love my Yaris, but honestly I really can't think of something that I have wasted money to that tune on mine and I have dropped a great deal of cash on my sedan.

Perhaps this will persuade you to take up your own personal issues via PM instead of in the wide out open after someone has gotten iritated with you not only whining about it on not only this thread, but creating another dedicated one for all to see.

Thanks for letting me know who I will not want to have as a customer for sure...I would hate to sell my products to you seeing as how you support our current vendors.

wow guys. lol.

Yes, I'm a vendor. Yes I try to sell stuff on here. I was the first to welcome Ryan when he recently became a vendor -- selling competing products, I might add. I wish him the best. Period.

Someone is seriously claiming that's all I do on here? Really? What a twit.

You didn't message me. Could have been easily handled that way.

I will continue to post information that I think is relevant in any thread on this forum, as everyone else gets to do. That's my last comment on the topic.

Wow, I leave this thread alone for a few days.

Garm is more than welcoming about new vendors coming on board. He even said he "liked" these emblems on the first page, and then posted an alternative.

If that's trying to peddle items in every thread, well then...

buy some wheels off me.

For one, the skull emblem that Garm sells is not a modification of the Toyota emblem...

It may be similar, but I am sure a court would rule it is different enough to not be a reproduction.

That said, there is a legal copyright concern over the horned Toyota emblem in that it is a direct modification of said emblem and Toyota has stated that it does not allow such items.

If the guy producing them has been given written approval as he claims, then there is no harm in asking to see a copy of it. Stating he has it is one thing, actually providing a copy is another.

Since I am not a vendor, I will raise the in his claim, as everything I have read states Toyota would not allow this.

And this is not the same as an aftermarket item. Those can be produced and sold as long as the vendor isn't claiming it is an OEM Toyota product or that they have permission when they do not!

never did the guy claim its authentic, not sure where you got that from... and im not certain whether he has approval to make them or not but he does have a website and he must be selling them with no problems. because he's still doing business.

its not that serious if everyone is butt hurt about an emblem whether its oem or approved by toyota or whatever then just plain forget it.

I wasn't going to benefit out of these, i was just seeing if anyone else was interested or had any knowledge of them. matter of fact i'll enquire for myself i'll have the mods delete or close this thread. end of story

Thank you sir !!!

it seems people are just shutting the idea down, considering someone might lose business on here. and everyone is backing this vendor up.... I for one can not understand what kind of legal actions can anyone take on anyone if you purchase an emblem made by a metal specialist whom makes emblems for cars???? the guy on his site never once stated he works for toyota or his products are "oem"

Anywhoo whoever is interested let me know so i can give you more info.
once again to the great and powerful yarisworld vendors... i am not affiliated with the guy nor am i getting any type of benefit from bringing this up i was merely interested in getting them and seeing who else is into them

No, it's that fact that there is this claim that the guy has special permission from Toyota to make modified Toyota emblems. And people that have been around the forum for a while are calling B.S. on that fact. If someone wants to sell stuff on here, more power to them. But if one of the first things out of their mouth is something that is most likely a lie, well, they're not going to be very welcome here. I mean if the guy would lie about that, what else would he being willing to lie about.

I can't speak for everyone else here, but I'm going to take a wild guess that no one here believes that Toyota is going to come over to their house with some laywers to sue them for having an "unauthorized" emblem on their Yaris. This is an issue about whether or not the claim that was set forth about his special permission is true.

I don't think anyone is under the impression that he does work for Toyota or that he produces OEM emblems for Toyota. (By the way, what's the address to his site?) I think everyone is basing this on the fact that it was mentioned that the guy claimed to have permission from Toyota to make his own emblems:

If we want to put this to rest, someone find a copy of his special permission slip from Toyota. But there's no reason to start getting up in arms about vendors that support the site.

Don't agree with them? Don't worry about it. They're not forcing anyone to buy their goods, nor are you forcing anyone to buy some devil-horn Toyota emblems. If people buy either one, great, someone makes a profit and someone purchases something they want. If people don't buy either one, well life will go one just as well.

Again, I couldn't care less about the emblem(or it's legitimacy)...I was going to mod the Tacoma emblem to fit my application anyways, but since everybody is all about these now I'll figure something else out.
