Electrochromic rear-view mirror

Recently ordered an Electrochromic rear-view mirror. Part came without any instructions. Would anyone be able to help? TIA.

We can't help you unless you give us at least the brand name and model number Benggolf2.

I posted pics. of the Gentex K31 I had:
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...d.php?p=168682

Pics. of the CIPA are here:
http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...d.php?p=213086

I've since replaced the Gentex K31 with a CIPA 36500. The Gentex K31's base stuck out / down past the dotted area of the windshield AND it had weird colored map lights.

The CIPA 36500's base stays completely within the dotted area just like the stock mirror. Also, the map light bulbs on it are removable / replaceable. Replaced them with white LED bulbs from VLEDs and they're much better than the Gentex.

The Gentex uses a liquid / gel based electrochromatic system while the CIPA uses a completely solid state electrochromatic system.

I will scan the instructions I have for the one supplied by Toyota for my car. I have them in my glovebox.

Nevermind. :)

Everything I have on-hand is already posted on this site...

http://www.mitocorp.com/auto-dimming-mirrors.html

There are several links to installation, operation, and calibration for the various Gentex models. I also own a Gentex.

Hope this helps.

Installation Instructions

Thank you IsLNdbOi and Meteorite_Marty for the heads up. Much obliged.
Happy New Year.

BTW, I also got installation instructions from Jamie at Sparks Toyota.
Here's the link: http://www.trdsparks.com/install/00016-42116inst.pdf

No problem. One of the best upgrades for this car, with it being so small and low to the ground. I don't think I would buy another car without one of these mirrors on.

No problem. Looks like yours is a Gentex. Good choice. Good luck with the install!
