Naphthalene Balls

Ever try naphthalene (commonly known as moth balls) on your gas tank?

Cheap octane booster, but don't do it too often.

Am not recommending the use of moth balls in your car, but it is something you might want to know.
We use to play this joke about getting our friend's car a tune-up without opening his hood during our much younger days....and he would be amazed!

We did that in a lawn mower... .and we could see that the motor had much more power to it... (or could be that the motor was getting clogged up with the mutated fuel...

So far, the motor hasnt blew... lets see

I'm not about to put that shit in my tank, that's for sure. However I was once told that you could put Methylated Spirits in your tank as an engine cleaner. I did it and it worked. That was on a $3,000 car though.

That's funny. I recall from a "Get Even" book about putting mothballs into gas tanks as a way of damaging motors. Supposedly it coats the interiors with carbon deposits.

Was anyone stupid enough to try this?
