What's your car Name?
Well, I find interesting that people (like me :P) name our cars, so I think it would be interesting to find out what's the forum members car name and what's the story behind it (if people want to explain, obviously).
My LB Yaris is called Rana-Way, and the story behind it is a little funny. Rana (in Spanish) means "Frog" and for some reason, my HB looks like a frog (go figure), so when first introducing the car to a friend, she started singing a song called Runaway, and well, the name stuck (It is worth mentioning that if Rana-way is pronounced in Spanish, it sounds like runaway). My other 2 cars were called SuperK (the translation to English would be SuperJ- sorry I keep on naming my cars in Spanish) and SuperK2. The name came even before I got my first car because I was going to get a $900 beater which would be a piece of junk, hence, the name SuperJ(unk) (or SuperK(arcacha) in Spanish). I ended up getting a Not so POS car, but the car already had it's name :P. |

^^^I believe there is already a thread on this if I remember correctly...I'm just too lazy to find it. But I like your story on how you got to your cars name.

Wife named both of our new Toyotas (replacing two Fords).
Our 2007 Yaris LB is named "Yari", and our 2006 4runner V8 is "Brutus". Quite a different feeling when we switch from one to the other. "Brutus" is only driven about once a week - he is primarily for towing our CHALET hardsided, pop-up trailer. Last edited by 60 Somethings; 08-24-2006 at 10:25 PM. |

Named her Cara.
Named after my favourite character (and fav type of characters an author has ever invented for a story) in my favourite fantasy series by Terry Goodkind, "The Sword of Truth". Cara, in the series is a bad-ass Mord-Sith... but the details of what a Mord-Sith are kinda irrelevant. Ironically, Yaris Revenge msged me today saying he noticed my "title": "MORDSITH" and turns out he reads this series too and its his favourite! Even MORE ironic, he TOO has a car named "Cara", a dark red Pontiac Vibe... I dont like the colour red on cars, but if my car was red, it would do her name even more justice, and Mord-Sith always wear blood-red leather outfits.
