got better milage with silencer

Well got bored this last month and tired of the drone from GReddy tic so I put in the silencer,my last two tanks of gas I am now averaging 36-36.5mpg where as the tanks before it I only averaged 33.5-34mpg,same amount of gas,same type of driving both tanks all freeway shor t of about 20 miles a tank,driving about 60mph.

Has anyone else had their milage go up by putting in the silencer and any thoughts on why,I use the same gas from same station every fillup,record miles religiously,and only other mod is Ingen CAI,tires same air pressure,temps outside pretty much the same all month.......

Car does not seem to respond any slower of the line or passing with it in so I am leaving it in ,CAI is louder than exhaust now,but that is ok,it got old on the freeway trying to listen to radio.
