cheap set of emblems on ebay making me wonder
This look legit or cheap copies?
Can it be that cheap? This could be my first mod if its for reals. This would follow after the best free mod i think..take off hub cabs, black on meteor looks good to me. |

Cheap emblems are exactly that...cheap emblems!
I bought a set of 'VVT-i' ones from an ebay seller in Asia and they were thin and scratched easily. Plus, the '-i' bent on one of them. They are still on the car, but if (or when) they fall off I won't replace them... Cheers! M2 |

thats the same company i bought my 'vitz' emblem from i believe. in one winter, most of the chrome has worn away. but the same thing has happened to the hatch push knob. it looks terribly corroded.

Imported RS emblems don't fit US/CDN grilles without modification.
I've got a knockoff VITZ emblem, and it still looks like new after a couple of years. I also have the RS emblem and had to do a bit of work to make it fit my grille. |

You can get an RS emblem from Canada and install it in a matter of seconds by simply push-fitting. However, the clips on the imported RS emblems don't align with the elongated honeycomb grillework (specific to export vehicles). So, you have to shave off the 2 clips (with an exacto knife), leaving only the centre barrel pin, which already has a hole in it, and which can easily be theaded with a self-tapping screw. It's pretty easy to modify the emblem to fit. Here's where it becomes a pain in the ass: You have to remove the bumper. Now, fit the emblem in place on the grille and secure it with the screw and a large washer from behind. Be sure it's located where you want it, and it's tightly secured, because you won't be able to make any adjustments once you reinstall the bumber. |

Wait a minute.
eBay: $72 shipped Micro Image: $72.85 shipped I'll do all three for $69 shipped. Any questions? And, unlike the eBay seller, I will continue to work tirelessly to answer questions, offer advice, work on my car and share the results, support this site, and get you the best price anywhere. LOL.

You'd be paying 10-20 bucks more for guaranteed quality. I'd rather have something that's gonna last rather than to say "well I'll spend 15 dollars on an emblem and if it falls apart I'll buy another since it's so cheap" when in reality you could spend that 30 to begin with and have quality. My two cents.
