MAXITRIP Auto Computer

The July 28th to Aug. 16th Princess Auto sale flyer just landed on my desk and on the front cover;
MAXITRIP Auto Computer
Save CAD$51.00
Reg. CAD$149.99 Now $98.88 (item # 8237844)
Described as;
"4-in-1 auto computer works on all 1996 and newer OBD2 compliant vehicles.
Compact automotive computer designed to monitor vehicle imformation in realtime."

In my uneducated opionion it looks like a knock-off of the ScangaugeII but with a more finished appearance, suitable for dashtop mounting. Can't say how the functions compare but from the picture it appears the display is similar.

Wait until July 28th then go to the address below and click on current sale.

It appears to be another China based company.

There are some interesting products, including TPMS diagnostics.

"it works as a vehicle black box"
Does it do more than the Scangauge II ??

Apparently, no manual online yet.

Not alot of real world information about it that I can find. See a few 'Anyone heard of this?' discussions initiated in other forums. All seem to end with a common theme, 'Get it and report back on it.'

So you up for being a guinea pig MUSKOKA?

amazon.com has 3 user reviews. A 1 Star, a 4 Star, and a 5 Star.

No thanks. I'm in too much of a hurry to sip fuel. I gave up 100+ HP going to the Yaris. That was sacrifice enough. Don't think I'll be going down to Grampy speed any time soon.
I tend to doze off whenever the speedo drops below 120% of the posted limit. Borrrrrrrinnnnnnnng!
Which way to "The Forks"!
