Another reason I love my Yaris
In a rush to get into work I hit the light behind the rear view mirror to find my safety glasses. I just the door leaving it on. WOrked all night, started the car up and that light came on. I relealzed that any other car would have drained the battery, but Toyota was smart enouth to time out that light if left on too long.

Worked that way on the two Mercury Villagers I've had, but one of them had an underhood light (a very nice feature) that stayed on as long as the hood was open. Trunk lights often won't turn off, either.
